Standards of a good life

The most abundant life is one lived with gratitude, humility, honesty, purity, unselfishness, and love.

My life’s purpose is much clearer when I just work to help, not to possess.

It’s not what you do, so much as who and what you are; that is the miracle-working power of life.

To myself I must be true. I must not bend myself into a pretzel to get others to like me. If I get their approval, that’s fine; but if I don’t, I will survive just fine without it.

I am responsible for speaking what I perceive to be the truth, not what I think others may want to hear.

I cannot allow my false pride to have me overly concerned about my reputation. On the path to enlightenment, my aim should be to improve my character, and not my perceived standing in the eyes of the world.

Declutter and simplify your life. Loosen your hold on earth, its cares, and its worries. Unclasp your hold on material things; relax your grip, and the tide of peace and serenity will flow in. Grow, mature, blossom and flourish in the ways of the spiritual world.

Relinquish every material thing and who knows – god willing you may receive it back again in abundance. But if not, and in your efforts you are true; you will have what you need and by then you really won’t care about the excesses of this world or anything else so unimportant.
